We are coming to the end of the 2017 harvest in the Wessex Wine Region, the warm or dare I say it hot weather in June and July set the region up for some great vine growth and grape development. The month of October has also been very kind to vineyards offering long dry spells and great weather. As I write this it is 20c in our vineyard and that is excellent news for the grapes.
I think this year vineyards across the UK will be finished with harvest well before the end of the month, I can’t wait to taste the fruits of our labours.
Make sure you visit the vineyards in Wessex that are open to the public to sample the great wines that come from the cradle of the English Wine Revolution.
